With ‘Bedded Deep in Long Term Memories’ Skai portrays detachment that occurs once we get occupied by personal thoughts and memories.
Skai
Skai is a Lithuanian painter living in Berlin. Her early acquaintance with painting began by observing her grandfather, who was an oil painter, and learning that communication can be expressed far beyond the verbal. Later on she attended Adomas Brakas Art School where she learnt the fundamentals of painting, sculpting, drawing and history of art.
Creating to Skai is more instinctive than logical. She is naturally drawn to creating a serene and hypnotic atmosphere. Skai is currently in the process of exploring dynamic ways to portray reality by getting rid of the distractions and focusing on the essence of the painting.
